About Us
The founding principles of Encourage Arizona is to empower youth and adults in gaining and sustaining meaningful employment. Our staff has collectively provided vocational services for over 30 years in the Tucson community. We collaborate with several local resources to assist individuals with disabilities in the areas of employment, education and independent living skills training. Encourage Arizona is conveniently located in central Tucson. Our agency is locally owned and operated.
SERVICES
Job Development and Retention
We Provide: Resume writing, interviewing skills support, job leads, career assessment, work ethics and habits of successful employees, job search skills, conflict resolution and job coaching supports.
Work Adjustment Training
We Provide: A variety of Work Adjustment Training sites that offer interpersonal communication skills development, stress management, confidence building, personal image consulting, self-marketing, job preparation, time management tasks, goal setting and vocational skills inventory.
Trial to Work Experience
We Provide: Trial Work Experiences (TWE) . TWE is an exploration of a client’s ability and capacity to perform work duties in a realistic, integrated work setting for the purposes of eligibility decision. Trial Work Experience consists of short-term work experiences to determine a client's eligibility for Vocational Rehabilitation services.
Rehabilitation Instructional Services
We Provide : Training in use of public transportation, wellness and personal goal setting, budgeting and money management skills and safety and situational awareness abilities.
Work at Home Employment Training
We Provide: Training in data entry skills, problem solving, time management, communication skills, data protection, multi-tasking, record keeping, software updates, computer knowledge, and daily job duties and expectations for home based employment.
Supported Education
We Provide: Intermittent assistance in an education setting, orientation to school and campus services, resource utilization training, assistance applying for educational grants and funding, and coordination of special needs services.
Career Exploration
We Provide: Interest and skills inventories, labor market surveys, job outlook, exploration of job sites, assessment of skill level, understanding labor laws, employee orientation and new hire paperwork.
